It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Vera Butt of Grand Bank announces her passing. Vera passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Sunday, December 6th, 2020, at the age of 79. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her son, Leonard (Sheila) Butt of Grand Bank; daughters, Edith (June) Grandy of Salmonier, Marilyn (Cyril) Forsey of Grand Bank, Annie (Darrin) Butt of Halifax; grandchildren, Jason (Melinda) Forsey, Jamie (Kandace) Forsey, Amanda (Wayne) Meade, Tyler (Chelsey) Butt, Trevor (Myra) Butt; great grandchildren, Wayne, Kendra, Beth, Zara, Adaline; sister, Annie Douglas of St. John’s; brother, Bill (Amelia) Grandy of Whitehorse; sisters in law, Mary Beck, Jane Howell, Georgie (Cephas) Noseworthy, Esther Butt; brother in law Norman (Miriam) Butt.; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Harry Butt; parents, Frank and Edith Grandy; parents in law, George and Elizabeth Butt; plus a large circle of sisters in law and brothers in law.
The Butt Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In order to maintain Public Health Guidelines this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 20 people permitted to be in the building at any one time. Masks and social distancing are required.
Funeral Service will take place at Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank on Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery. In Vera’s memory donations may be made to Salvation Army Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
