On Saturday, July 11, 2020 Velma Jean Cameron (nee Burke) passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. She was aged 93 years of East Point, PE.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years Stewart M. Cameron. She was a dear mother to her children Amy Hughes (John), Glen (Eileen), Grace Cameron, Gail Warnell (Jimmy) and Connie Cameron (Rob O’Brien). She will also be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her grandchildren Joy MacSwain (Mario Tarso), David MacSwain (Kim Hendricken), Marlee, Derek and Kevin Cameron (Candice Trainor). Predeceased by her parents William “Bill” Burke and Mary Jane Burke (Campbell), loving sister Jessie Sanderson and grandson Terry MacSwain.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours for family only. A private service of remembrance will take place at the Kingsboro Baptist Church with interment to follow in the South Lake Church Cemetery. Family flowers only please. If so desired, donations made to the South Lake Cemetery Fund or Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be greatly appreciated.
