VELLA – Sharon Naomi, 74, of Greenfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Wednesday, March 11. 2020.
Born in Lunenburg, Sharon was a daughter of the late Lewis and Lola (Johnson) Wight.
Sharon worked for the University of Western Ontario until her retirement when she fulfilled her dream of moving back to Nova Scotia and having a home on the lake. She was an amazing hairdresser and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband Anthony Vella; her daughter Tina van Krooenburgh of London, ON, her son Terry (Nancy) Hendrix of Cape Breton, her step daughter Annette Vella of London, ON; her step sons Brett Abby of Mississauga, ON and mark (Janeth) Abby of London, ON. Her sisters Rosaline (Jim) Bleoo of Halifax, NS, Judy (Doug) , Audra Holt (Bob) of Edmonton, AB.
Besides her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her step mother Winifred Wight and her brother Dale.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
