Al passed into the arms of our Lord at the age of 94 while resting peacefully at home with family. He is survived by his beloved wife Therese with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage. Much loved father of five children Rochelle, Charisse, Bobby (Karen), Kelly (Jeff McConnell) and Kerry (Sean Morneau) and cherished Pipi to fifteen grandchildren.
Al was born in Windsor to Albert and Marceline Ducharme, one of ten children. During his youth he worked on the family farm and played semi-pro hockey. He owned and operated several businesses including the first coin operated laundromat in the Windsor area. Al enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and nephews. He was also president of the Regis club, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and instrumental in construction of Our Lady of Fatima church. He will be remembered by all for his good humour and kind heart, but especially by his grandchildren for his corny jokes and silly songs.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mass will be celebrated at a later date.
