It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Tuesday Denine Seymour announce her tragic passing at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday May 31, 2020 at the age of 56. Born in Toronto, ON, Tuesday was the daughter of Charles and the late Tryphena (nee Skinner) Anderson. Tuesday was predeceased by her loving partner Glenn Dominie.
She leaves to mourn the joys of her life, her children: Shane (Christina) of Port Aux Basques, Jill of St. John’s and step-daughter Glenda (Kevin) of Stephenville. Grandchildren: Haylee and Mason. Brothers: Sean (Jeannette) of Port Aux Basques and Luke of Fort Saint John, B.C. Nieces and nephews: Trent, Travis, Sarah and David. Special in-laws Tom and Una Seymour. Her canine companion Ace, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends.
Tuesday’s life can be encapsulated in the following words, beautifully written by her daughter Jill.
She was a selfless woman. So strong and independent. Hardworking. Always lending a helping hand. A voice of reason. A fighter. She was small but she was mighty. She always had her doors open and treated everyone’s child like her own. Genuine. The biggest heart that was always in the right place. Always fought for what she believed in. A one of a kind lady. A listening ear. Loved to laugh. A green thumb. So perfect and so beautiful. A great friend. Outstanding mother. She loved so deeply.
She dedicated her entire life to helping children who were the most in need. Never looking for applause or gratitude in return. She was so passionate about her job and her students. She was an incredible teacher who loved her students vigorously and would move mountains for them, she left lasting impressions in many lives.
In keeping with Tuesday’s wishes cremation has taken place. Due to the current public health advisory of COVID-19, a celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations made in memory of Tuesday will be used to fund a special project at St. James Elementary for the students who were so dear to her heart.
