Obituary of Troy Edward Oickle
Troy Edward Oickle, age 55 of West Clifford, passed away peacefully in his home on June 23, 2020, with his wife by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 18, 1964 in Bridgewater, he was the son of Samuel and Patricia Oickle.
Troy was very active, he loved water sports, farming, hunting, his puppy’s, singing and playing guitar and he also loved working in the woods. He dabbled in welding, mechanical work, some taxidermy and worked construction for many years!
Troy is survived by his wife Beatrice (Brushett); parents Samuel and Patricia (Penny); sister Wendy (Wyatt); brothers Trevor (Millie) and Chad; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Troy was predeceased by grandparents Lawerance and Jean (Croft) Oickle and grandmother Verna Penny.
A very special thanks to Dr. Debra Gowan and Nurse Noeleen Reilly at palliative care for all their care and support.
As to Troy’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, NS Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Lung Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
