Obituary
It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of a Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, cousin and friend Tom Jerry.
Tom also known as Thomas, Tommy or Bun was born on December 11, 1954 at the Old Blackfoot Hospital. Tom attended the Crowfoot Residential School and later on attended Drumheller Composite High School, where he excelled in sports like basketball and Rugby and was top student for his art work. Tom worked for many years at the Hidden Valley Resort as a Maintenance and became the crew boss, where he trained summer students on how to use the machinery to maintain the Golf course. In the early 80s, Tom met his Wife Shirley and were married and had 3 beautiful Children together and took in her 2 oldest Children of his own. Tom and Shirley lived in the city the majority of their life and raised their children to be respectful and to have compassion towards others. Even though they lived in the City they instilled the Blackfoot Culture with their children. There are many stories that can be told about Tom and the life he endured with family and Friends during his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by his Children, especially by his Grandchildren who were his Pride and Joy.
Tom leaves behind his Children: Chantelle, Tomelle, Robin, Scott (TJ) and Neil. Precious Grandchildren: Wyatt, Darlene, Ronnie (Alexis), Jeremiah, Koda, Haillie, Daniel, Dallas (Bear), Monique, Denzel, Deezire, Destiny, Morning Star, Tazana and Baby Shirley. Brothers: James, Willy (Patti), Kelly (Cheryl), Sisters: Charlotte (Gary), Rhonda (Hector) and Leanne (John) and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Aunties: Izabelle CrowChief and Roberta Pelletier. Uncles Norman (Liz) Running Rabbit and Robert (Judy) Running Rabbit. Tom was Predeceased by his wife Shirley, his grandchildren Nikolia, Ace and Lesley. Father Ralph CrowChief. Mother Rita Jerry Running Rabbit and Roy Running Rabbit. Special Friend Dana McMaster. Aunties: Mary Sitting Eagle, Mary Running Bird, Edna Leather, Nina RedOldMan, Elma Pretty Young Man, Delphine CrowChief, and Cecilia CrowChief. Uncles: Jonas Jerry, George Jerry, Hugh CrowChief and Raymond CrowChief. Maternal GrandParents: Jim and Alpha Jerry. Paternal GrandParents: George and Delores CrowChief. Extended Families; Jerry, Sitting Eagle, Leather, Running Bird CrowChief, PrettyYoungMan, Saskatchewan: WhiteCalf and Swindler. RockyBoy MT, Standing Rock and WindyBoy. Sunchild: BigChild.
Wake Services will be held at Piiksapii Memorial Arbor on November 29, 2020 @ 6pm. Funeral Services Holy Trinity Catholic Church November 30, 2020 @ 11am. Gravesite: Little Washington Cemetery. Due to Covid 19 Regulations under the Alberta Health Services there will be limited people of 50, during Church Service. Mandatory Mask must be worn and Hand Sanitizer will be Available.
