Obituary
Peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020, Thora Wagn passed away at Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 84 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her son John Wagn (Murielle), daughter Jo-Anne (Don) Nelson, daughter-in-law Haanita Seval, grandchildren Stephen, Adam, Sean, Brendan, Samantha, Lauren and Scott; sister Joan Hedrick extended family and friends. Thora was predeceased by her parents Thori and Hazel Finnbogason, son Wendell Wagn, brother Siggi (Kathy) Finnbogason.
Thora was born on January 3, 1936 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the old Grace Hospital and grew up in Amaranth. She married Gordon who was in the armed forces, together they spent time in Europe and across Canada. She received her teaching degree in 1983 and spent all her teaching career in Northern Manitoba. She loved to travel, read and spemding time with her family.
A private family interment will take place at a later date in the Langruth Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Thora’s memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V.
