Obituary
The death of Thomas “Tom” Lockerbie occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020. Born 1947, in Miramichi, NB, he was the son of the late T.W. MacNaught “Mac” and Muriel (Dickson) Lockerbie.
Tom had several hobbies over the years. He loved carpentry and had a passion for building. Tom enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved cooking and trying new recipes. He was an avid gardener. For the past few years, he was known for growing tomatoes which he shared with his neighbors and friends.
In his younger years, Tom worked for Ford Motor Company in London, Ontario. He later returned to New Brunswick and began a career at NB Tel/Aliant where he worked until retirement.
He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend of 33 years, Debbie O’Brien; daughters Crystal Lockerbie of Saint John, Tara O’Brien (Nick McCaustlin) of Saint John; son Brandon Lockerbie of Saint John; brother Glen Lockerbie of Miramichi; niece Kelly; nephew Michael; grandson Zach White and granddaughters Rey and Charlee McCaustlin. Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother David.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Reiman and nurse Colleen, Dr. Graves and staff at 4C North for their care and kindness.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
