Obituary of Thip Vongsaly
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thip Vongsaly on the morning of Friday, February 28th, 2020 at the golden age of 74 years. She passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital after cardiac surgery.
Thip is survived by her loving family Somnuk and Nath, deeply remembered by her nieces and nephews, Manisakhone, Keooudone, Keoouday, Malayphet, Keosaysana, Thanaporn, Soutsada, Souriyasack and Souk-kunya and sweetly missed by her grandchildren, Aksonelasack and Dominic George.
Her loss is also felt by the large Loas community and by her group of loving seniors at the Buddhist temple.
After spending her early life in Thailand and Loas, she started a new adventure in Canada in 1980. She worked at Hammond Manufacturing, in the electronic department until she retired. She was an independent freespirited woman who loved to travel around the world, tasting new food and visiting family.
Please join us in celebrating Thip’s life and sharing fond memories of her during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6 pm – 9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
We would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to the Cardiac Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, the doctors and nursing staff were phenomenal with their care and compassion.
