Therese Proctor MacDonald 19642020

Therese (Proctor) MacDonald
1964-2020
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Eileen
Therese (Proctor) MacDonald of Halifax on Tuesday, August 25,
2020.
Born August 14, 1964 in Antigonish, she was the daughter of
Donna Margaret (Purcell) and the late John Vernon
Proctor.
Therese graduated from StFX and went on to become a Social
Worker. She spent time working overseas and worked in Halifax for
several years prior to her illness. Therese spent much of
her younger life participating in Highland dance competitions, where
she won numerous awards. The youngest of five children, she was an
avid student with quick wit and a great storyteller. She loved to shop
and had a keen eye for great looking shoes.
Therese is survived by her mother Donna Proctor, her two
sons, Joshua MacDonald, Yellowknife; and Jarret MacDonald (Ceileann
Regan), Calgary; her siblings, Kenneth (Janice) Proctor, Antigonish;
Trisha (Reg) Landry, Truro; Paul (Darlyne) Proctor, Cape George; and
Ann Marie (Paul) Cameron, Antigonish; along with several nieces and
nephews.
Due to current restrictions, there will be no public
ceremony. Cremation has taken place and a family celebration will be
held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Therese can be to the Canadian Mental
Health Association Nova Scotia or a charity of your
choice.
