Cremers, Theodorus
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theodorus (Teddy) Cremers at the young age of 76 on Monday September 21, 2020. He left us far too soon and left a legacy of family and friends who will cherish him forever.
He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Truus Cremers and his sister Trudy Ellis
He is survived by his loving wife Leonora; his daughters Deb Forbeck and Tania Craig and his son in laws Chad Forbeck and Jason Craig.
He will forever be missed by his 7 wonderful grandchildren; Jacob, Jackson, Lauryn, Ellie, Spencer, William, Oliver; and his nieces Lita, Kimberley & Patti-Lynn. Ted will also be greatly missed by many family members abroad in Holland, Ireland and across Canada.
Ted spent the early part of his professional career in the Ontario Provincial Police where he joined the Special Services team and worked undercover in the wiretapping unit. He saw an opportunity to forge his own path and co-built Harrison Lawn and Tree which kept him busy for many years and then he spent his post retirement with his other family at Currie Heavy Towing.
He lived an enormously big life and had a presence that could not be ignored. He made his friends (and strangers) feel like they were the most important people in the room.
His kindness showed no bounds, he would roll up his sleeves, help his friends and community at every turn
He always had a story to tell, and his stories were definitely unforgettable.
We would like to share our love and thanks to Melody Fox NP, Dr Jamie Stewart MD, home care Nurses, Dr Yoon and team at the South Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre for their thoughtful care and guidance.
Friends will be received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home-Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday September 25, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.. A Private Family Gathering will be held Saturday. Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance is limited to a specific number of persons within the facility at any one time. You are requested to schedule your attendance through the reservation system on this website. You are instructed to arrive just a few minutes prior to your desired time. Please remain in your vehicle. Staff will advise when space permits within the funeral home. The visitation time is allocated to 15 minutes. Please be aware that others will have scheduled their time with Ted’s family. Gathering outside of the facility is not permitted. Once you leave the facility, please move to your vehicle and depart. We thank you for respecting the regulations we are required to enforce from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario and Public Health.
