Smith (Breedon), Thelma Muriel
Peacefully on February 17th, 2020 Thelma passed at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy, in her 97th year. She was the daughter of Oscar Charles and A. Hilda K Breedon. Beloved Wife of the late Norman S. Smith (2010) With whom she was married for 67 years. Loving mother of Brenda LaCroix and Marcia McArthur. Will be missed by her grandchildren Bradly Paterson (Jane), Angela Bladon (Ian), Darren McArthur (Kim) and her great-grandchildren Benton and James Paterson and Spencer and Rees Bladon. Predeceased by her siblings Marjorie, George, Joan, Norman and infant Pat. Survived by her sister in law, Kathleen Butler along with many nieces and nephews.
Thelma was a dedicated member of the St, Johns Anglican church in Strathroy, her entire life.
We would like to thank all the caregivers and EMS who attended to her in the last few years. Making it possible for her to remain in her own home, until she chose to move in to Sprucedale Care Centre, where the staff continued to care for her, for the last 6 months.
Friends and family will be received at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Monday March 2nd at 11:00am until service time at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Strathroy Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wrights Family Foundation, St John’s Anglican Church or a charity of one’s choice. Please share a memory at www.strathryofuneralhome .com.
