Lois left us on June 7, 2020 to ride the open prairies with the love of her life Bill (WH) Little.
Lois was the third of four siblings of Ruby (Grant) and Chauncey Coy and was predeceased by Ralph Coy, Helen Link and Grant Coy. Lois grew up in Olds at the family farm and they then moved to Royalties, south of Black Diamond where she attended school in Turner Valley and Crescent Height High School in Calgary
Lois and Bill were married in 1952 and had three daughters, Kathleen (Barry) Cuthbertson, Darleen (Jim) Braun, Carleen (Jack) Bil and long time friend (brother) Hans (Joan) Kollewyn. She also has three grandchildren, Donald (Helen) Cuthbertson, Jason (Kayla) Bil and Lindsay Bil; two great grandchildren Charleigh and Rowan Bil; and god-daughter, Johanna Kollewyn.
Lois’s passion throughout the years were the buckskin horses that were cared for and shown at various horse shows during the years living in Okotoks and then later the winters in Yuma, AZ.
Lois enjoyed volunteering for various community clubs and associations; Okotoks Agricultural Society, Okotoks Horse Show, Canadian Buckskin Assn, Okotoks Seniors Club and looking after the library and the outside flowers at her final home the Medicine Tree Manor.
We would like to thank Dr. Nel and staff on the 3rd floor at the High River Hospital for their care and compassion. At Lois’s request donations can be made to the High River Hospital Palliative Care, www.highriverhealthfoundation.ca/donate-now
We will all miss her and love her forever……. Happy Trails
