Thelma B. Williston
1928 – 2020
Thelma Bernice Williston, wife of the late Keith Williston of Miramichi passed away in Riverview, NB on June 1, 2020 at the age of 92.
Born in Chatham, on May 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Osbourne and Ellen (Stewart) Williston. She was a school teacher for many years. She attended St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and was part of the choir and ACW at St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s Anglican Churches. She was involved in Brownies as Leader, Girl Guides as District Commissioner, Rebecca Lodge, I.O.D.E., Highland Society and Seniors Group. She was a wonderful seamstress making many different garments for individuals.
Thelma is survived by three daughters: Carol Ann Walker (Lawson) of Calgary, AB, Penny Lea Butler of Miramichi and Keitha Duncan (Bruce) of Riverview; special niece Sheila Searle (Robert) of Moncton; 12 grandchildren: Aaron, Andrea, Tina, Erica, Wesley, Adam, Alex, Diana, Mark, Sheldon, Robin and Janice; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Keith, son-in-law Donald, four sisters: Violet, Rhoda, Ivy and Hazel, four brothers: Stewart, Clyde, Elmo and Charlie.
There will be a private family only visitation and funeral service held. Interment will be held in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery.
