Obituary for Terry Slack
Terry Arthur Slack of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, Chatham on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the age of 69. Terry is the son of the late Charles George & Virginia Beatrice (McLean) Slack. Beloved husband of Janet (Gauthier). Loved father of Arthur Johnson (Amy). Dear brother of Ken Slack (Pam) and the late Michael ‘Mike’ Slack and Carol Peck (surviving spouse Steve). Brother-in-law of Sue Durfy (the late Mike), Chris Gauthier (Wendy), Bob Gauthier (Carlene) and Jay Gauthier (Dee). He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great niece. Terry had worked for Libbey Glass and Daymond Aluminum. He was a car enthusiast and member of Whatever Turns Your Crank Car Club. Many will remember seeing Terry cruising in his ’69 Coronet, ’70 Road Runner, Buick Sport Wagon or most recently in his 2019 blue Dodge Charger. A graveside burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery on Thursday, November 26 at 11 AM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited so reservations may be made at signup.com/go/gJAoQqN or by calling the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are required. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
