Obituary
Terry (Theresa Marie) Rains (née Knittle) was born on March 18, 1948 in Westlock, Alberta and grew up on a farm near Clyde, Alberta with 10 brothers and sisters. Following a long and courageous battle with cancer, she passed away on August 10, 2020 in Westlock, Alberta with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her father Peter Knittle, her first husband Doug Coles, her mother Anna, as well as by brothers Werner and Edward.
Grieving her loss are her loving husband Howie Rains, her devoted children Jacquie Coles-Hromyk (John), Douglas Coles Jr., and her grandchildren Tessa and Jordan with whom she was very close.
She also leaves behind siblings Betty, Bernard (Cecile), Tony (Kim), Peter (Anne), Cathy (Len), Rita (Gary), Sharon (Dale), and Gloria (Adrian), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
Following cremation, a funeral mass was held in St. Mary of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Westlock on August 18, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Westlock Healthcare Centre Hospital Fund or to the Barrhead Community Cancer Centre.
