Obituary
It is with sadness the family of Ted Wruck, 74, announces his passing at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. His wife, Jean, held his hand while praying with him as he went peacefully into Heaven. Ted was born in Saskatoon and grew up near Aberdeen SK on the family farm. He moved to Saskatoon and married Jean Trost October 14, 1966. They had 4 children. Early on Ted worked at the WDM as a display artist. He earned his living for much of his career as a talented independent drywaller. He was, however, a true artist at heart and his passion and love of Muzzleloaders was what he was most known for. He spent many hours and days in his workshop building custom handcrafted muzzleloaders. A longstanding member of the Saskatoon Muzzleloaders Club, his favourite pastime was target shooting and building guns for other enthusiasts. At age 50, Ted suffered a massive stroke that altered his independence but it never stopped him and he surprised everyone by getting stronger. Over the years Ted & Jean became more involved with their church and Ted’s love of Christ grew stronger as he faithfully studied the gospel. For several recent years, Ted struggled with his health and while he is deeply missed, his family is comforted knowing he is no longer in pain and with his Lord.
He is predeceased by his father Bernard Wruck, Mother Marie Dyck, née Jabusch & step-father John Dyck. Mourning his loss are his wife, Jean; children & spouses, Tim (Tara Wist), Tracey (Steve Moretto), Trevor (Niki), & Troy (Alyssa); grandchildren, Kristen, Tyler, Dakota (Bailey); Sebastian, Oliver & Brianna; great GC, Arloe & Olivia; and brothers, Bruce, Doug (Sherry) Dyck & Darren (Karen) Dyck.
Ted was cremated and the family is planning a memorial at a future date. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to those who have reached out with love & support.
