Ted Rosser April 19 2020

Obituary
Francis Edward (Ted) Rosser
March 16, 1946 – April 19, 2020
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ted. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lou (Mary-Lou) and children Ted (Lise), grandchildren Brandi, Joe and Amy; daughter Kim (Trevor) and Dan (Ginger), grandchildren Kayla (John) of Texarkana, Texas; Megan (Weldon) of Boston, Massachusetts soon to be parents of our first great-granddaughter in August, Dylan, Daya and Nick of Texarkana, Texas; brothers Evan (Penny), Alwyn (Helen) and sister Shelley, of London, England; sister-in-law Irene, of Denver, Colorado.
Ted is also survived by brothers-in-law Dick McKenzie, Randy (Cheryl), Gregg (Linda) and Peter; sisters-in-law Merle Hygaard, Maureen and Heather. Also many loved and adored nieces and nephews.
Ted was predeceased by parents John and Iris; brothers David and Glynn; niece Nancy (Curtis) Niemi; father-in-law Burr McKenzie; mother-in-law Mary Mckenzie; brothers-in-law Bill, Gerald Hygaard, Doug (Margaret); nephew Andrew, of St. Paul, Minnesota; sister-in-law Ellen and niece Jennifer of Sioux Lookout, Ont.
Ted’s early career was with Prudens Well Drilling. Ted was a red seal journeyman plumber owner/operator of T.R. Plumbing and Water Conditioning. Ted was old school “Jack of all trades.”
Ted and Lou were married in a little Church situated on the 9th Hole of a golf course in Port Alice, B.C. That should have been an omen for his love of golf and the only way to beat him was to join him! Ted was an avid sports fan and enjoyed Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bomber games. Ted coached his sons in hockey as well as other Minor Hockey League teams, son Dan in baseball and “hoots hustlers” Lou’s women’s softball team. Ted loved to travel with Lou, especially their yearly trips to Texas to watch their grandchildren grow up. He had a special place in his heart for all his grandchildren.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Demsas for his compassionate care to Ted and Lou over the years. Special thanks also to Dr. Zoppa and Dr. Brown. Special thanks also to Dave of Gilbart’s at this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba in Ted’s memory.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ted Rosser April 19 2020..

  1. I have no reason why I found the obituary of Ted. I only felt that I should put his name down and Selkirk. I have not seen Ted or had any contact with the family since the summer of 1956. I had the priveldge to baptize him on July 28, 1956. Not knowing that he passed away this year, I offer my condolences to his family. May the Lord bless you all. Sincerely.
