Obituary for Ted Canton
Passed away peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born in Plympton Township, Edwin Thomas “Ted” Canton, of Sarnia was formerly of Wyoming and Fawn Island near Sombra, was in his 92nd year. Ted was the loving husband of the late Hazel (nee Knight). He will be missed by his children Terrence (Silvia) Freer, James (Heather) Canton, Nancy (Carl) DeVries, and Tom Canton, his grandchildren Tanya, Pauline, Erica, Laura, Ashley, Christopher, Jarod, Hannah, and Noah, his great grandchildren Wade, Katelyn, Brandon, Chloe, Nolan, Devon, Madison, Graci, Rease and Johnathan and his great-great grandchildren Aubrey and Briar. He is also survived by brother-in-law Jack and Elizabeth Knight, sister-in-law Fay Canton and many nieces and nephews. Ted was the son of the late Harry and Maude Canton and was also predeceased by his brothers Ron Canton and Joe Canton and his brothers-in-law David and Robert Knight. A private visitation will be held at Needham-Jay Funeral Home Wyoming Chapel with interment in Wyoming Cemetery. As expressions of Sympathy, memorial donations may be made Lambton County Developmental Services (www.lcdspetrolia.ca) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca)
