Tara Jean Bowie, in her 41st year and of Nighthawk BC, passed away suddenly Friday November 6

Tara will be forever loved by her mother Nancy Birtch of Woodstock Ontario, her brother Reme Beckett and her sister Rhonda Carter (Jim). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews Kassandra Boucher of Montreal, Sylvana Shewbridge (Tyler) of Woodstock and Leah Beckett of London. She will be terribly missed by her nephew Jamie Carter of Woodstock.
Her dearest friend Hazel Dunn of Toronto, Brandi Matthias of North Bay, and Kim English, Jessi Tonasket and Stacey Lebeau of the Similkameen Valley.
She will especially be remembered by Jack Tonasket, her special nephew and buddy who had amazing adventures with her.
Tara is remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends she made on her adventures in life.
Tara is predeceased by her father Kenneth Bowie (2010). He was her best friend in life, and she kept it true to him till the moment she passed that she would live life for both of them.
Tara was a free spirited person who loved adventure and the outdoors. She always loved small town living, growing up in Beachville and Innerkip.
Tara enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Wiarton. and went to North Bay to start her adventure of school to become a reporter.
She worked at the North Bay Nugget, Owen Sound Sun Times, Norwich Gazette, Woodstock Sentinel Review, Keremeos Review and the Princeton Spotlight.
Tara lived in Norwich Ontario and then one day packed it in and travelled across Canada to BC. where she made a new life and adventure for herself. She loved the fresh air, the quiet and the view of the mountains – Tara would always say it was a different way of life out there.
Tara’s next big adventure was finding herself and living life to the fullest. Tara would not like us to cry over her. She would want us to start a new adventure without her and live life to the fullest with stopping and taking time to actually enjoy it.
This year was Tara’s best year.
