1936-2020
Sylvia Mae (Nickerson) Turner, age 84, of New
Minas, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Forbes Point, she was a daughter of the
late Dexter and Lulu (Butler) Nickerson. Sylvia and her late husband,
Silver Clark Turner, owned and operated Silver’s Grocery
Store, New Ross for over 30 years. Sylvia is survived by her sons,
James and Gary (Judy); siblings, Carol Newell and Douglas (Nita)
Nickerson; grandchildren, Dana, Derrick, Greg, Mehgan and Neil; as
well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and
parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Malcolm
“Mac” Nickerson, and sisters, Helena, Audrey and
Grace. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or
funeral service at this time. Donations in memory may be made to a
charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line
