Sylvia grew up in Fredericton PEI, where she lived with her
family until 1968, maintaining lasting friendships until her death.
Sylvia visited many parts of our great country, co-piloting for her
husband John from right coast to left coast. They lived for some time
in Alberta, Nova Scotia and Thunder Bay where Sylvia shared duties as
a property manager with John at the large apartment complex where they
lived. They finally made the move back to her beloved PEI where they
settled until her death. As her alter ego, Silly Syl, she entertained
at many family and friend events with her endearing
performances as Marilyn, popping out of celebratory cakes, etc. much
to the surprise and delight of her bemused targets. She was intensely
proud of her family, both Glydon and Davis. That endearing smile and
quick laugh, which became her trademark, will never be
forgotten.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. Due to Covid
19 restrictions no public visitation will be held. A private
family funeral service will be held available to watch online on the
funeral home’s website (Click
here) after 1:30 on Tuesday October 27th. Interment in the
Margate United Church Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be
made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of
choice.

Death notice for the town of: Kensington, Province: I-P-E
I admired Sylvia greatly for her warm & friendly personality. What a sweetie! I loved her comedy. The hilarious phone skit that she put on at the last Fredericton School Reunion will always be remembered.
