With loving thoughts from family, Sylvia Madeline Dunlop passed away December 21,2020 at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford, Ontario in her 93rd year, daughter of the late L.T. and Rosie Urbanczyk; beloved wife for 54 years of the late Bill Clayton Dunlop(2004); mother of William (Theresa) of St.George, Linda Laverty (James Elsliger) of Lynden, Kim Neziol( Bernard) of Brantford and James of Ancaster; grandmother of Melina Laverty (Andrew Perkins), Shalom MacNeil (Brian), William Dunlop (Shanna), Naomi Robertson( Chad), David Dunlop (Aiyana Kane), Elizabeth (Peter) Fryar, Emily Elsliger, Julie (Will) Meredith, Madeline (Chris) Haesler, Darren Neziol (Taylor) and Alexander Neziol; great-grandmother of Liam and Hannah MacNeil; Owen, Gavin and Tatum Robertson; Simon Perkins; Robin and Dorothy Fryar ;Gwennavere Kane (2018)and Elijah Dunlop. She was predeceased by her brother and sisters Irene, Katie, Peter, Helen and her twin sister Regina. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was born on March 16, 1928 in Falls City, Texas; granddaughter of Anton Urbanczyk , one of the pioneers of the first Polish settlement in North America . In Hamilton with her husband, she was a dedicated mother who provided for, protected and lovingly raised her children. In her later years, she and her husband Bill moved to the Ancaster farm where they enjoyed true happiness. Always up for an outing -the smallest things were an adventure. We have so much to be grateful for. We thank the caring and kind staff at St Joseph’s Lifecare Centre who looked after her for the last 5 years and Reina, her personal caregiver. Arrangements have been made at Toll Funeral Home for a private service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to St Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Canada, or a charity of your choice.
