Sylvia D’Souza 1932 2020

Sylvia Mary D’Souza peacefully took her last breath surrounded by her family on September 30, 2020 at the age of 88. Loving wife of Simon (deceased) and mother of Sabrina (Peter), Stafford (Sandra), Sydney (deceased), Sharon (Alban) and Selwyn (Janice). Grandmother to 11 grandchildren – Serena (John), Rachel, Steven, Rebecca, Marc, Stacey, Nathan,
Adam, Neola, Jason, Ryan and great grandson, Miles. Sister of Effie, Mannie (deceased), Fr. Archie (deceased), Thecla, Doreen, Derek.
Sylvia was a warm, friendly, social person. Reminiscing our early years in Karachi, Mum was always involved in various groups/activities at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Planning, organizing, meeting people – that was the essence of our mother. She loved to cook and took great pride in her cooking. She enjoyed traveling, seeing a lot of Pakistan and visiting India, Europe, Australia, the Far East and Panama.
Mum led a good life and had a peaceful death. As much as you try, you can never truly prepare yourself to lose a loved one. As sad as we are that she is no longer with us, we are at peace knowing she is resting comfortably in her heavenly home.
“My mother kept a garden, a garden of the heart; she planted all the good things that gave my life its start. I am my mother’s garden. I am her legacy. I hope today she feels the love reflected back from me.”

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Sylvia D’Souza 1932 2020..
