Obituary of Suzette Goulet
Suzette Goulet was born in 1932 at Sandy Bay, SK to Alexander & Nancy Morin (Bighetty). Suzette spent most of her life in Cumberland House in which she called home. She married Ovide Goulet on Jan 4, 1954; they were married for 47 years until the untimely passing of her husband Ovide on November 21, 2001. From this union they were blessed with 3 children: Bernice, Joey, Roberta, granddaughter Cheryl & grandson Gordy. Suzette’s tremendous loss was the passing of her baby girl Roberta.
Suzette spent much of her time as a homemaker raising her children along with numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her extended family and always made effort to visit them. Suzette loved to bake homemade pastry, sharing her baked goods with family & friends. She often spent time with her sister Clara reminiscing about the time they moved to Cumberland House and their childhood. She enjoyed the many visits from out of town family members and welcomed them in her home.
Suzette is survived by her children: Bernice Laliberte (Wayne), Joey Goulet (Maureen); Grandson Gordy, Granddaughter Cheryl Charlette (Peter); Siblings: Clara Carriere, Flora Smigel (Dale), Paul Morin (Judy); In-laws: Helen Carriere (Goulet), Joseph Goulet, Karen Goulet.
Suzette was predeceased by; her husband Ovide Goulet; daughter Roberta Goulet; her parents Alexander & Nancy Morin; Siblings Marie Bear & husband, Lena Bear& husband, Alfred &Maggie Stewart &, Robert Morin, Louie Morin & Bernice Morin; In laws: Donald Carriere, Douglas Carriere, Solomon & Ann Goulet, Madeleine Goulet, Moise Goulet & wife; and numerous extended family members.
