Susan Gaulin (nee Watson) born February 29, 1948 went to Glory to be with her beloved Saviour on February 7, 2020. Born in Perth, she was raised in Vankleek Hill before travelling to live in Ghana, Africa. Susan was educated at Ontario Ladies’ College (Trafalgar Castle School) where she served as a prefect. Susan went on to become a Nurse through Peterborough Civic Nursing program, working in ICU mainly at St Mike’s and Belleville. Through every act Susan demonstrated grace and love. She had a strong faith in her Lord Jesus and sought to honour him with her life. Hers was a life well lived as she showered those around her with unconditional love. She had a sharp wit, a ready laugh, and a soft heart. A true lady in every sense of the word, Susan was truly remarkable and words could never hope to express the depth of her beautiful soul. She was the adored daughter of June Watson (nee Smith, now deceased) and George Watson of Peterborough. She leaves behind her beloved husband, friend, and soulmate William Gaulin; her precious daughter Kathleen and dearly loved son through love, Adrian Griffiths. Lovingly remembered by family; Robert Gaulin (Nancy), Linda Walker (Bill), Ronald Gaulin, Anne Walker (Peter), Margaret Owens (Tom), Kathleen Owens-Cusimano (Steven), Sandy Owens (Matthew) and countless dear friends. All who knew her were touched by her loving and accepting nature. Visitation to be held 7-9pm Wednesday, February 12 at Mackey’s Funeral Home in Lindsay with a “Going Home” celebration service at Little Britain Community Baptist Church Thursday, February 13 at 1:00pm, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the RMH Palliative care unit. Thank you to the incredible team of doctors and nurses who cared for her in her final weeks, Dr. Unilegal and Dr. Francis especially who worked tirelessly and compassionately on her behalf. To say thank you just isn’t enough
