Obituary of Stephen Gerald Marshall
MARSHALL, Stephen Gerald -Potlotek
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Gerald Marshall, age 45 of Potlotek, at his residence in Potlotek on January 6th, 2020. Born December 24th, 1974 in Sydney, he was the son of the late Stephen “Stevo” and Greta (Gloade) Marshall. Stephen enjoyed fishing, hunting and going camping with his brothers. He also enjoyed various outings, including going to farms, concerts and restaurants with his niece Josie, and girlfriend Francine. He was an all out charming and friendly person. Stephen was a kind and gentle soul and his laughter were contagious. He will be sadly missed by his close family and fellow fisherman. Left to mourn his passing is his brothers Winston Marshall, John (Marivel) Marshall, Vernon Marshall, all of Potlotek; nieces Josie Marshall, Tori MacNeil; nephews Lyric Bernard, Winston Marshall Jr., Heartly Marshall and Justice Johnson. Visitation will take place at the St. Kateri Tekawitha Chapel in Potlotek from Monday, January 13th at 4 p.m. until Wednesday, January 15th at 9:30 a.m. Funeral mass to celebrate Stephen will be held in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peter’s on Wednesday, January 15th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Yake presiding. Burial to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barra Head. A Salite and meal will be held at the Potlotek Community Centre following the burial.
