Sister Marilyn Stata, in her 75th year, peacefully went home to her God on Monday, December 30th at Blessed Angela Convent in Buffalo. During her 55 years of religious life, she ministered mainly as an educator of young children and after retiring from teaching, she visited the sick in the hospital. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara (Raymond) and Donna (David), and her brothers, Gary (Carol), Glen (Lorraine) and Ricky, and many nieces and nephews. Sister Marilyn is predeceased by her parents, Lyle and Kathleen, and her brother, Brock.
Friends may call at Holy Name of Mary Convent, 2165 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga from 3:00-9:00 pm on Fri. January 3rd. Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Convent Chapel on Sat. January 4th at 11 am.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Felician Sisters or the Felician Sisters’ mission in Tulita, NWT.
