Sister Juliette Robidoux OSU
Very peacefully on November 6, 2020 at Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface) at the age of 100 years old, Sister Juliette was received into the hands of her loving Lord. Sister Juliette was accompanied in spirit by her Ursuline Community: Sister Mary DePape and Sister Joice Richards.
Sister Juliette was born on November 3, 1920 in Bruxelles, Manitoba and was predeceased by her parents Fortunat and Aurore (Dubuc) Robidoux and her four siblings: Hector (Denise), Hubert (Thérèse), Benoit (Georgette) (Lucille) and Marie Rose.
Juliette was a loving and loveable lady who had a happy, cheerful greeting for everyone. She was an enthusiastic and effective classroom teacher and taught some 18 years in Bruxelles and then 17 years at Our Lady of Victory School in Winnipeg. Her teaching career was interrupted by her being nominated as Provincial Superior of her community. After her years of teaching, Juliette lovingly took care of her mother who died at 94 years.
Sister Juliette’s love for God was beautiful, simple but strong. When visiting her at Actionmarguerite during very touching spontaneous moments, Juliette would quickly fold her hands, close her eyes and pray out loud the prayers of St. Irenaeus “The Glory of God is man fully alive”. Sister Juliette was also known to have said, “That she was grateful to God and to her community for all the benefits and graces that had been given to her throughout her life”.
Sister Juliette would like to be forever remembered for the compassionate services of the competent dedicated staff at Residence Despins and Actionmarguerite and in gratitude to the Grey Nuns community for their compassionate presence.
The funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Residence Despins. Father Isaïe Blanchette OMI will preside at the liturgy celebration.
Because of COVID restrictions only invited guests will be able to attend.
A webcast of the funeral will be available afterwards at 2:30 p.m. at ejcoutu.ca. To view the funeral simply click on Sister Juliette’s obituary, go to the photos and videos tab and scroll down and select ‘watch webcast’.
