Soren Thude Madsen August 31st 2020

Soren Thude Madsen, born in Hunderup, Denmark, passed away at KBRH in Trail, BC on August 31, 2020.
He is predeceased by his wife Thelma Jean, his son Bryan and brother Leo and is survived by his grandson Chris, great-grandson Jerred and extended family in Denmark and Canada.
Educated in a two room school in Hunderup, Soren started an apprenticeship as a Radio Technician in May 1944 and completed in June 1948. Soren immigrated to Canada in August 1951 landing in Regina, Sask. He moved west to BC in late 1953 where he met and married Jean Hutcheson. Working for General Electric, Soren and Jean moved to Montreal in 1968 and then returned to High River, Alberta in 1971. In 1984, the Madsen’s moved to Proctor, BC where Soren opened Tecknica Appliance Repair in Nelson. He sold his business and semi-retired working part time at Greyhound Nelson. In 2007, Soren and Jean retired to Trail.
Soren requested no formal service and cremation has taken place, Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
