Lubitz, Shirley- passed away peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Sunday, April 12, 2020 in her 89th year.
Shirley Lubitz (nee Panke), wife of the late Frederick Lubitz. Mother of Judy Nieman (Dennis), Cobden; Joan Nieman (David), Dalkeith; Kevin Lubitz (Leona), Pembroke; Michael Lubitz (Debbie), Pembroke; and predeceased by daughter Laura Biggs (David), Pembroke. Beloved grandma to Penny, Paula & Jason; Jennifer, Janice, Derek & Dwight; Nicholas, Matthew & Kelsey; and Amanda, Justin and Kyle and to 20 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Herbert and Martha Panke (nee Weinholdt). Sister of the late Roy Panke. Survived by sisters-in-law Helen Weisenberg (late Lorne) and Eileen Lubitz (late Hilton).
Due to current circumstances, a private family graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Alice. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
