Peacefully at the Prescott Russell Residence, Hawkesbury on Friday, March 6, 2020 Shirley Larocque of Hawkesbury passed away at the age of 85. Predeceased by her parents William Johnson of Winnipeg and Rose Bertrand of the Northwest Territories. Beloved wife of 62 years to Marcel “Mike” Larocque. Loving and caring mother of André (France Brabant), Denise Thibault (Rock), Louise Gauthier (François) and Michael (Lori George). Cherished grandmother of Denis Gauthier (Sara-Lee Pynenburg), Andréanne Lortie (Martin), Dominique Thibault (Fannie Desforges), Lisa Gauthier, Karine Scott (Shane) and Chloé G-Larocque and great-grandmother of Xavier, Théo, Gia, Elliot, Tyler, Loic, Vincent, Enzo and Kane. Shirley was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba the youngest of nine children, she is survived by her dear sister Louise Jacobucci. Predeceased by her sisters Rose Melia, Dot Bindas, Pat Harvey, Evelyn Johnson, Thelma Graboski and her brothers William Johnson and Andrew Johnson. Shirley retired after 22 years of service at Ivaco Rollling Mills. A job she loved and was very proud of. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. In memoriam donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Prescott Russell Residence Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
