Peacefully at the Mayfield Residence on Friday, December 25, 2020. Shirley Roode of Cardinal at the age of 86. Dearly beloved wife of the late Joseph Roode. Loving mother of Rick of Cornwall, Bonnie Wright of Brinston, Mark (Kandy) of Prescott, Angie Massey (Roger) of Lyn and Joe (JoAnn) of Prescott. Cherished grandmother of Vicky, Sarah, Christie, Amy, Bobby, Amanda, April, Joey, Callie, Holly, Kayla, Chelsea, Shelby and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Jennifer (Jenny) Spriggs, her son-in-law Bob Wright and by her siblings; Doug, Theda, Gordon, Florence, Helen, Royal (Junior), Fay, Gerald, Ken, Mary, Robert (Bobby) and Harold (Huck). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Due to Covid 19 a private service will take place at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
