Obituary of Shirley Mabel LeBlanc (Black)
Shirley passed away peacefully at the Helen Henderson Care Centre on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, three days prior to her 93rd birthday. Beloved wife of the late William ‘Bill’ LeBlanc. Loved and deeply missed by her daughters, Linda Beatty of Kingston, Nancy Hogan (Ben) of Bath, Margaret Babcock (Brian) of Wilton and Cheryl Lemieux (Don) of Bonfield. Cherished grandmother of Heather, Michael (Paulette), Tim (Kayleigh), Nicole (Ivan), Melanie (Peter), Brandon, Kyle (Kaitlyn) and the late Stephanie. Proud great grandmother of Jocelyn, Anna, Evelyn, Henry, Alexis, Zachary and expected baby Olivia. Survived by her sister Ruth McIntosh (late Red). Predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Menzies (late Joe), Mary Hamilton (late Ronald), Phyllis McIntyre (late Gordie) and Zetta Berg (Wayne) and by her brother Douglas Black. Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis LeBlanc, Mary & Earl Thorburne, Fran & Wally Williams and Dolly & Charlie Hemion. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with Interment in the Wilton Cemetery Columbarium. For those desiring, memorial donations to Emmanuel United Church in Odessa or Helen Henderson Care Centre in Amherstview would be appreciated. The family would like to send a special ‘Thank you’ to the Helen Henderson Care Centre Lodge staff for the loving care given to Shirley over the last 8 years and the staff in Long-term Care for their dedication, love and compassion, especially in this unprecedented time.
