GEYER, Shirley (nee Abrams) – Suddenly at home, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Abe z”l for sixty-four years. Adored mother and mother- in-law of Harold and Anat Geyer, Barbara and Clifford Prupas. Proud Bubby of Daniel and Orly Prupas, Lindsay Prupas, Taylor and Morgan Geyer. Shirley was the daughter of the late Joe and the late Toba Abrams, sister of the late Martin Abrams. Sister-in-law of the late Annie and the late Israel Kanofsky, the late Mollie and the late Albert Plewa, the late Hyman and the late Annie Geyer. Shirley was the matriarch of our family, devoted to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great- great-nephew. Her lifelong bond of friendship with Kiki Rosenberg, Goldie Wasserman and Lily Shear could not be broken. A friendship that has lasted close to eighty years, she spent her days sitting and laughing with her lifetime best friends, who she cared for so deeply. She loved to tell the stories of her youth, sharing her most meaningful memories especially with her grandchildren. Shirley was an exemplary woman cherished by family and friends, well respected by all. Her kind soul and generous nature are qualities that will be remembered by those who had the privilege to know her. Shirley leaves a lasting legacy to all who knew and loved her, and will be sincerely missed. A private graveside service will take place. Donations in her memory may be made to the “Abe and Shirley Memorial Fund” c/o Adath Israel Congregation, (514) 482-4252 or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Shirley Geyer Tuesday December 29 2020..
