Shirley is remembered as a quiet, reserved, extremely witty lady who randomly recalled and delivered recitations learned from youth. She was an ultimate dog-lover and often cared for beloved family pets; Mya, Chloe, Cuddles, and Manou.
The family is grateful to Drs. Fudge, Murphy, and staff of the Hemodialysis Unit of WMRH for the care and compassion which they extended to Shirley over the past three years, to Dr. Bubtana, the staff of 3b WMRH, who lovingly cared and supported Shirley during the especially challenging past six weeks and to Dr. Lafferty and the Palliative Care Team for the support which they offered during a very difficult time. Last but certainly not least to Patsy Hann, Shirley’s “Angel” who not only provided homecare but became Shirley’s best friend and confidante, words are inadequate to express the depth of gratitude for the love, care, and friendship which you have demonstrated for 3 years.
A private family viewing will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, with funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook with Majors Frank and Rita Pittman officiating. Interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
