1938-2020
Shirley Ann Charnock – age 82, of Kentville, passed
away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Ross and
May (Randall) Hiltz. In earlier years, Shirley worked at Camp
Aldershot. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of
the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. She will be
sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by
daughters, Sandra LeBlanc and Diane Charnock (June); brother Jimmy
Hiltz; grandchildren, Rachel (Andy), Mark (Heidi), Natasha, Ashley,
Sarah, Ross, Jason (Dana); 13 great grandchildren; step sons, Douglas
Taylor and Dave Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence;
son, James “Jimmy”; sister, Ramona Campbell;
granddaughter, Melissa and son-in-law, Shawn Larson. Cremation has
taken place. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be
no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory may be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association of Nova
Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
