“It’s with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila May Sullivan (née Belliveau) of Concession after a lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at home.
She was a fiancé, daughter, mother and sister. A lover of life who’s smile could brighten any room and who has the uncanny ability to turn a stranger into a friend with only a few kind words. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her partner of over 16 years, Ryan, doing absolutely anything; whether that be a cross province road trip to pick up tires, a weekend jeeping with the many friends they made over the years or a fun filled weekend at the lake, including Saturday night classics and Sunday suppers with the family. Sheila was a devoted daughter; the relationship she shared with her ‘Mummy’ was truly something special. There was never a day where they didn’t see or at least speak to each other (probably several times). For Sheila, her Mummy was the person she could always count on, and she felt so blessed to have been her daughter. As a mother, Nichelle and Evan were her pride and joy, her BB Girl and Gougster; she was infinitely proud of their accomplishments and never missed an opportunity to tell them how so incredibly loved they were by her. She loved spending her days working at the Clare Animal Hospital, where she was employed for over 30 years. Working with the public brought her great joy and throughout her illness, it was the thought of getting back to work that drove her forward. Sheila touched many lives within her family, friends and the community of Clare, where she resided all of her life and she will be immensely missed by all.
She is survived by her fiancé, Ryan Boudreau; daughter, Nichelle Sullivan; son, Evan Sullivan; parents, Pauline and Raymond Belliveau; siblings, Kevin (Norma) Belliveau, Margaret (Gary) Belliveau, Donna Potter (Jim Kong), Normand Hopkins (Aldean Press) and Larry Belliveau (Leona Goodwin); many beloved nieces and nephews.”
