Obituary
On May 19, 2020 Sheila Cater of Penticton, BC passed away at the age of 89 years.
Sheila is survived by her children, Douglas (Betty) and Brenda (Casey) Myers; grandchildren, Sheena, Joshua and Krista-Lea; great-grandchildren, Amy, Kyle, Adam, Max and Gabe; sisters, Moira (Jack) Vander Woulde and Patricia (Dominic) Bracone.
She is sadly predeceased by her husband, John Cater (1972) and her brother, Terrance O’Callaghan.
Sheila was always known for her entertaining stories and for being ‘the organizer’ for events, both for family and within her gated community, Sandbridge in Penticton. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a talented person, taking up new passions later in her life including oil and water painting; always willing to teach others, including Spanish language and painting. Mom loved animals including her predeceased American Eskimo dog, Tessa.
Sheila will be remembered privately by family in thought. As a special tribute her cremated remains will be distributed amongst her closest family to be honoured individually.
In lieu of other tributes donations may be made to an Animal Charity of your choice.
