Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sharron in Pincher Creek at the age of 78 years. She will be sorely missed by her children: Mitchell Scott, April (George) Owens, Rex Scott, Adaire Boutland, Che Scott and Queenie (Greg) Scott; her 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Colleen (Marvin) Mensaghi, Rhonda Stuckey, Robert Diens (Trucker Bob); her brother-in-law George Crook; as well as many other dear relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted; her grandson, Caleb; her sister, Christine Crook; as well as her parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Stuckey.
Sharron was born in Pincher Creek. She took her schooling for Grades 1-2 at Utopia Country School; Grades 3-9 at Hill City School in Hillspring, Alberta; Grades 10-12 at St. Michael’s Catholic School in Pincher Creek. As a young girl, Sharron enjoyed riding horses with her cousin Joan; many miles were covered from the river bottom to halloween nights; together they were inseparable. For her post-secondary education she attended secretarial school in Calgary. Sharron then returned back to Pincher Creek and started working at the Shell Plant where she met the love of her life, Ted. They were married June 30, 1963. She raised six children and loved every one of them. As a family we enjoyed many camping trips to the river bottom with Unc and Aunt and many other special friends. She continued with her education at Red Deer College to be able to become an assistant site manager at Crestview Lodge; where she worked for 25 years. She took excellent care of the residents at Crestview Lodge. After she retired, her and Ted enjoyed each other, their family and their time together.
Sharron was avid about the news, reading many newspapers daily. Many hours were spent cultivating her beautiful backyard to be enjoyed by friends and family. Everyone in the community knew her for her long blonde hair and her loving personality. She will be sadly missed by all.
Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, there will be a Graveside Service held at St. Henry’s Cemetery at a later date. We are hoping to have this service at the end of June 2021. There will be another card placed in the community to announce the time and date for her graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crestview Lodge (P.O. 1058 Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0) in memory of Sharron.
