It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Reardon (Druken), age 57. Sharon passed away at home, where she was most comfortable, surrounded by her family. She fought a fierce battle but lost the war against cancer. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Cecil; mother and father – in – law Vi & Pat Reardon; sister – in – law Ruth Burton; nephew and niece Nikolas and Malia Druken, nephew Andrew Sullivan and great nephew Keith Walsh Jr. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving and very devoted husband Don; loving daughter Selena Stewart (Dustin); Mother Alice Druken and her absolute pride and joy, her grandchildren: Keira, Dion and Myles, to whom she was fondly known as “Baby Bird”. Sharon also leaves to mourn her siblings; Joanne Domino (Wayne), Jackie Druken (Bob), Mike Druken (Mylene), Barry Druken (Kellie), Shirley Watson (John), and David Druken (Mary Ann); sisters – in – law: Betty Sullivan (Derek), Bonnie Wheeler (Gary), Carolann Parsons (Robert), Margie Payne (Brian), Janet Bennett (Gill), Jackie Hollett (Bernie), Brothers – in – law: Junior (Lorraine), Walter (Ella), Patty (Madonna), Randy (Janet), Stan, David (Ruth), Terry (Kathy). Sharon will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends. She will be missed by her co-workers and the children of Panda Bear Day Care.
Sharon’s stature was small . . . but her presence was large. To her father she was his “scrap” because she was tiny but fierce. She was very unassuming and always thinking of others before herself. From making quilts for new babies, knitting dishcloths to whipping up her infamous coleslaw for family gatherings – she will be greatly missed, especially by her mom, Alice, with whom she was very close.
She was really the life of the party and always enjoyed a bit of fun. Family BINGO nights will never be the same without her. We know that she is enjoying her tea and bingo with those waiting for her. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from St. John Bosco Church at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Panda Bear Day Care or a charity of ones choice.
Though she will be missed immensely we are sure that heaven is a much brighter place since Sharon’s arrival.
