Obituary
Parks, Sharon Rose (nee Ackerman) – Peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on April 20th, 2020 at the age of 58. Dearly missed by her husband and best friend, David, of 35 years. Loving mother of Lesley (Patrick) Stafford and Rachel (John Lynch). Sharon was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind beautiful memories. Cherished by her mother Mertie-Jean Ackerman (late Harold) and sisters Diane (George) Steele and Lois (late David) Munroe. Caring daughter-in-law of Vera (late Ray) Parks and sister-in-law of Marilyn Rayner, Doug (Colleen) Parks, Bill (Karen Burnside) Parks and Lori (Scott) Wiggins. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Loved dearly by her furry companion, Marley. Sharon was a dedicated maternity nurse of 30 years who cared deeply for her patients and colleagues. Her unwavering faith and strength continually inspired everyone around her during a four year journey with cancer. Sharon enjoyed the simple joys in life and lived each day to its fullest.
Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. A Celebration of Life Service for Sharon will take place at a later date.Friends desiring may contribute in her memory to the O’Hara Mill Homestead and Conservation Area (by cheque made payable to O’Hara Volunteers Association) or online at www.oharamill.ca/donate.

    Such a privilege to have worked with Sharon on maternal/child at QHC. Such a kind, gentle and compassionate person. Regardless of what cards she was dealt in life, she faced them with courage and grace. Truly a remarkable woman. Sending heartfelt condolences and our deepest sympathies at this time of unimaginable loss.
