Sandra’s Obituary
WALES, Sandra Elaine ~ Age 76, of Middleton, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton, with her daughter at her side. Born in Windsor, Ontario, on August 1, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Garnet Thomas and Thelma Pearl (Dent) Wales. Sandra had lived in the community of Middleton for over 40 years and was a member of Middleton Baptist Church. She spent most of her years working as a librarian, at Annapolis Regional Library. Sandra always had a smile on her face and in healthier days could be seen in her scooter cruising around the town and would call and check in with the elderly for the V.O.N. She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by everyone she knew. Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by infant daughter, Carolyn-Anne; son, Howard Steeves; brother, Gary Wales; sister, Wanda Watt; nephew, Bryan Watt. Surviving are her daughter, Vivian Steeves (Mark Keddy), Aylesford; grandchildren, Alicia Graveline (Dianna Keddy), North Kingston and Christa Weir (D.J. Uhlman), Woodville, Brandon (Susie) Steeves, Ontario, Curtis (Kassandra) Wood, Yarmouth, Teresa-Lynn Steeves, Calgary, AB Samantha Steeves, Edmonton, AB; great grandchildren, Tara-Lynn, Katie, Kourtney, Kohen and Jaxen, all of Nova Scotia; Mason of New Brunswick; brother, Larry Wales (Diane Habart), British Columbia; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service will take place Saturday, September 12th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. toll free 1-855-825-3448, with Rev. Elizabeth Amirault officiating. Due to public gathering restrictions, a live stream of the service will be available to be viewed through the funeral home website ‘Live Stream’ option beginning at 10:55 a.m. ADT, Saturday, September 12th. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada Atlantic Canada Division or Canadian Cancer Society.
