The family of the late Samuel Davis regret to announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Sam was born in Carbonear to the late Josiah and Bertha Davis and moved to Stephenville in 1952 with his family. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by three siblings: Marge, Fred and Ann. Sam is also predeceased by his loving partner of many years, Dorothy Compagnon. Leaving to mourn at this time are his siblings Clyde (Yvonne), Florence, Carol (Bob), Everett (Evelyn), Glenys (Don) as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. In keeping with Sam’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19, a graveside service only will take place Wednesday, May 27, 2020, for family members only. The family wishes to say a special thank you to Robert Chaulk, and the staff of the Acadian Village where Sam has spent the last six years, as well as to Dr. Habashi and the nurses of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their care and compassion during his final days.
