Sam passed away on September 6, 2020 at the age of 66. He was born in Trail and lived most of his life in Ootischenia. He was the first of 4 children to Sam and Margaret. Sam had 3 sons from 2 marriages.
Predeceased by his parents and his oldest son Christopher Posnikoff. He is survived by his sister Barb Hanlon, his brothers Tim and Peter, his sons Ryan and Max, and his grandchildren Daniel and Melanie.
Sam loved fishing, hunting, picking huckleberries and being in the great outdoors. He was a carpenter and welder by trade and worked at Celgar as well as many other work sites in the area. He always loved to help anyone in need.
A private memorial was held. Rest in peace.
