Sadie’s Obituary
Passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, Mrs. Sadie Margaret Ellsworth, age 89 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Isabella Reid; granddaughter, Jillian Hicks; brothers, Ross and Hayward Reid; sister, Pauline Reid. Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her husband of 63 years, Harvey; children, Ruby (Harvey Abbot), Cindy (Ellis Russell), Glen (Lynn), Madeline (Randy Greenham), Dennis and Donna (Bernard); grandchildren, Maunda, Tracey, Jeanie, Jesse, Michael, Glenn, Rodney, Peter, Pamela, Anita, Angela, Ryan, Joshua, Leaha and Dane; great-grandchildren, Sage, Gabriel, Felix, Spencer, Shelby, Logan, Noah, Jonah, Caden, Ryder, Kyle, Liam, Stella, Katelyn, Brady, Hayden, Brooke, Ethan, Allison; brother, Roy (Cathy); sister-in-law, Rita Ellsworth and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will take place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville on Tuesday, February 25th from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, February 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will take place from the church on Thursday, February 27th at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to The Carmanville Salvation Army Church Roof Fund would be gratefully accepted.
