Sadie Barbara Rice September 28th 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Barbara Jessie Rice announces her sudden passing. Sadie passed away at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, September 28th, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories is her husband of 68 years – Freake; children – Marilyn Sparkes, Stanley Rice, Mervin Rice and Kimberley Richard and their spouses; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation. Pastor Jamie Rowsell will conduct a Private Family Interment at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.
The Rice family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff and residents of the White Bay Retirement Centre, especially to Kim Pardy for her outstanding attention and care during our Mom’s illness and subsequent death.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Sadie’s memory to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 5E9.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
