Ruth Irene Till 2020

Obituary of Ruth Irene Till
Peacefully, on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 83. Ruth (nee Peattie), beloved wife of the late George Till. Loving mother of Cindy Hardy (Steve) of Keswick, Scott Till (Susan) of Richmond Hill and John Till of Mississauga. Loved grandmother of Steven (Elisa), Lauren (Lucy), Michael (Savannah), Stephanie, Kristen and Ryan and great grandmother of Skylar and Brody. Dear sister of Ina LeGard (Herb). Ruth will be missed by Ingrid, all of her extended family and friends.
Ruth was a kind, giving and compassionate woman. She was the person that would drop everything to help to help someone, often referred to as the “pseudo mother” to her children’s friends growing up. She was an active woman and enjoyed volunteering in the communities she lived in. She was a walker and if was often said that she could out walk anyone even as she aged she did not slow down. Ruth was a member of the Port Perry United Church. Ruth will be missed but her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her husband, George, and her family and friends that left this world before her. The family would like to thank all of Ruth’s home care team, the healthcare teams at both Lakeridge Health Port Perry and Oshawa and to all the frontline workers for all of the wonderful care she received.
A private family service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985‑2171) to the Auxiliary to Lakeridge Health Port Perry.
