REIMER
Ruth Elvira Reimer passed away on December 31, 2019 in the Olds Hospital at age of 77. She was born in Rosemary, AB on September 23, 1942 to Svend & Mary Christiansen. She grew up on a farm outside of Duchess, AB with her younger siblings Bobby and Arlene. Her first job was as a cleaner at the Bassano Hospital. Later Ruth married George Reimer in 1964, becoming step-mother to Dianne and adding Susan and Craig, who joined son Gary. George and Ruth farmed near Hussar, AB until 1989 when they retired to Olds. Her retirement was a happy time, with wonderful friends met at church and the Evergreen Club. Ruth loved animals, crossword puzzles, and gardening and had a green thumb with all plants, especially African violets. She was blessed with grandkids Riley, Glendle (Sunni), Brett (Samantha) Mittelstadt, & Tara Reimer;
great-grandkids Nichole, Ronin, & Berlin. She was predeceased by husband George, brother Bobby, and daughter Susan. A Celebration of Life was held at the Bowden United Church on Monday January 6, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Olds Hospital & Care Centre.
